Of course, different clients may have different mediations for the same service, reflecting the different and unique ways in which they wish to interact with that service. For example, accessing the service over email or JMS. Or accessing it weekly rather than daily. Or using SSL rather than WS-Security. Or transforming from a different kind of Excel spreadsheet. And so on.
