SaaS provider acting as mediation client
By extension, the same set of approaches as have been outlined above apply equally to the SaaS vendor who may fulfil part of their service contract by outsourcing or delegating to third party providers. These 3rd parties may or may not expose WSDL/SOAP interfaces, and even if they do a set of mediations will be required in order to interact with them. Thus, the mediations may also be developed, deployed and re-used ‘at the back end’ of the SaaS provider, offering sets of re-useable integration services which are availed of by multiple clients.
